The secret to glowing skin
We all want that “glow.” Healthy looking skin that radiates. That perfect shiny spot that seems effortless (hello, highlighter). A radiance that seems to feel like #iwokeuplikethis.
What’s the secret to this?
I’ve slowly realized that it’s not about the product you’re using. There’s no magic ingredient that transforms your skin overnight. This glow is a team effort. Including the mind and the body. And it’s different for everyone. I’m learning that for me, it comes from deep connections. When I build relationships in an open way. When I’m surrounded with positive people, lifting individuals, and I’m able to share my thoughts. I’m finding radiance through connection.
And once you’ve figured this out, add these to amplify the results:
Exfoliate weekly: I recommend a chemical exfoliator. This can be an AHA or enzyme exfoliant. One of my favorites is the Hydrating Enzyme Masque by Image Skincare because it’s quite universal for most skin types, it’s gentle, but still efficient.
Moisturize your skin: keeping your skin moisturized is key to achieving that glow. Step up your water intake game and find an appropriate moisturizer for your skin type.
Maintain a healthy diet heavy on fresh fruits and vegetables. These are full of nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. Also enzymes and antioxidants which play a vital role in keeping your skin fresh and glowing
Facial massage: this is SO important. It increases blood flow and oxygenates your skin in a deeper level, leading to better functioning of cells, increased hydration and moisture, and promoting healthy lymph flow. And nothing says GLOW like healthy lymph
